Nothing Still...Still at it!
Nothing Still brought it with full force over the weekend at their CD release show in celebration of the “I’ve Got A Feeling I’ve Slept Here Before” record recorded through out June of 2008. The release was held at new(er) live music venue in St. Louis, Old Rock House. Selling nothing short (as the band usually does) this album is the highlight of pressings for the band!...

Dr Pepper to deliver on its free-soda promise →
Dr Pepper is making good on its promise of free soda now that the release of Guns N’ Roses’ “Chinese Democracy” is a reality. The soft-drink maker said in March that it would give a free soda to everyone in America if the album dropped in 2008. “Chinese Democracy,” infamously delayed since recording began in 1994, goes on sale Sunday.

Best records of 2008
Just the other day I was diving in my car and thinking to myself “what a SHIT year for music!” thinking that nothing came out that was even worth a mention. Then it dawned on me, “Death Magnetic was released this year, and that was pretty kick-ass, right?” So I felt like digging deeper, really exploring what was released and taking the top three and posting them right here. I will of course also...

Target heart rate
Last week I posted an entry that gave you a quick and easy way to do circuit training at home. To maximize the time spent at home doing these types of exercises, you also need to monitor your heart rate and know what your target heart rate is. You need to know the correct training zone to make sure you are training in the right place. First way to find your target heart rate is to subtract your...

Good circuit train
Sorry it’s been a while since my last post, things have been busy in my life. I’m heading out of town this weekend for a little R&R and it made me think of a good post. I wanted to jot down my at home circuit routine that I use on days that I just can’t make it to the gym. You can’t always make it into the gym, shit happens. But, if you feel like you don’t have...

Bacn - Email you want, but not right now
Let’s take a minute and define a web 2.0 term that I love to use, and would love more people to use: Bacn \ bā-kən \ sometimes -kəŋ \ Bacn is email you receive that isn’t spam…and isn’t personal mail. It’s the middle class of email. It’s notifications of a new post to your Facebook wall or a new follower on Twitter. It’s the Google alert for your name and the newsletter from your favorite...

The Perfect Hard Boiled Egg
Because there is defiantly a right and wrong way to boil an egg, I thought that it would be nice to share a bit of my expertise in this process. This has become routine and I have learned over time how to get the egg just right. And this is coming from a guy who eats more eggs in one month than you do all year! So here we go: 1. Lay the eggs in the pan and add the amount of cold water specified....

Don't Vote!
For those who were considering not voting, good. Don’t vote.
Unless you care about; health care, gun control, women’s rights, civil rights, rising gas prices, social security, the war, welfare, minimum wage, the economy, gay rights, abortion rights, education, 1st amendment, 2nd amendment, all the amendments, the future, the world, our country, everything…

PathTracks bike ride - Octbober 1, 2008
I just tested out a newly downloaded iPhone 3G application, Path Tracker. Pretty cool, and very accurate. It uses your iPhones built in GPS to track and follow you on any path or route that you take. Realtime updates on the screen make it exciting to watch as you ride! (wear a helmet!) At $.99 it was priced fair enough. Only downside; it’s a major power drian by running GPS the entire time,...

40 Tips for Better Life
I just got an email from a good friend and former business colleague that I would ‘normally’ write off as spam (sorry, Lisa, no offence) but this one made me stop and read thru. A lot of stresses in life are caused from just that - stress, and if you take a minute or two to just relax, step back, and admire what it is that you are doing, not only will you be able to appreciate what it...

Facebook Proposes 'Engagement Ads,' Educates...
The next iteration of Facebook’s ad program will have a very different launch from its last big rollout, which is to say there will be no big cocktail-filled event in which Mark Zuckerberg promises to revolutionize advertising. And that’s a good thing.
‘Tropic Thunder’: New Facebook ads allowed users to comment on the trailer.
But the crawl-before-walk approach...
